Kate graduated from Spring Arbor University in 2010 with a Bachelor's in Family Life Education. 

She worked in Child Welfare for 10 years. In 2020, when the world came to a halt, it was time for a career change. Kate's heart knew there was more to offer in terms of natural healing. 

She understood that if our bodies are given the right resources, they will naturally achieve homeostasis, which is the ultimate goal for our bodies and minds. 

So, as the world emerged from lockdown, she enrolled in massage school at Aveda in East Lansing. 

Kate wanted to bring her mental health background and how it meshes with our physical bodies. Kate graduated with her massage therapy license in 2021 and opened Revivify.  Revivify has been in business since. 

Valerie's path to Wildroots has been years in the making, woven together through art, medicine, and community.

An artist herself, she knows firsthand the healing power of creativity. Her mission to bring art to the community has deep roots that define her holistic approach to health and wellness. 

She began teaching art to students of all ages at Treehouse Art Studio (2013–2021), exploring art as a medium for emotional expression and spiritual connection,  the earliest roots of what would eventually become Wildroots.

After earning her certification as a Registered Medical Assistant, Valerie spent five years working in oncology (2019–2024), where she had the opportunity to work closely with a registered art therapist and participate in groups for women navigating breast cancer, treatment, remission, and terminal diagnoses. That experience shaped her deep respect for the power of community and creative expression during life's hardest moments.

Today, Valerie brings that lifetime of experience into Wildroots ~a space for women to breathe, create, and rise together.
